Shopping in Leeds is a must. It is better than shopping in London for a number of reasons, such as everything is in one place. Over the years the shopping experience in Leeds has exploded. Many shops dared to leave the London lifestyle behind and ventured out to Leeds.

There is always something for everyone in Leeds. It is perfect for a girls day out with shops including high street brands such as Topshop and Primark but also designer brands such as Vivienne Westwood and YSL. However, the good thing about Leeds is that it is not just for the ladies. There are also a variety of shops for men including All Saints and MKI, a Leeds own brand store with locally made produce.

Leeds City Centre is very compact with all stores being close together. You can browse the 120 shops inside the Trinity Centre, which has won awards for it’s unique architectural design. To walking outside and finding yourself at the Corn Exchange which has many independent shops. Including Soho Leeds which is one of the many vintage shops Leeds has to offer. There are many independent shops in Leeds. The Corn Exchange has the best range of one off pieces. So if you like looking for secret finds, you will not leave the Corn Exchange empty handed. Also you can find small designer boutiques in the Victoria Quarter and then go to the brand new Victoria Gate (opened 20.10.16) where you will find John Lewis and lots of other shops including Cath Kidston.

You’ll find hundreds of restaurants, cafes and bars known for making delicious food and drinks. This includes Humpit, a lovely Hummus cafe inside the Corn Exchange and Pieminister a Pie shop. Post shopping drinks are essential in Leeds. I promise you will not be disappointed. With rooftop views at Angelica and The Alchemist at the Sky Lounge enjoying cocktails just became a whole lot better. Call Lane also has many cocktail bars including the well known Revolution. Alternatively to cocktails you can pop down to Tapped on your way back to the train station, where you can enjoy a selection of beers, ales and fine brews.

Exploring is the key fascination in Leeds, because you never know what will be around the next corner. Including the Hip Store on Vicar Lane that is a quirky fashion shop that sells men's clothing, shoes and accessories from high end designer brands. Also exploring can lead you to the Global Tribe Cafe, which offers a vast selection of vegan, meat free produce.

So go and check out Leeds. You will not be disappointed. What are you waiting for?

CHARLOTTE'S

FASHION TIPS

#1
Denim stretches in the wash. So if you're in doubt, always choose the smaller jeans size.

#2

If you have an old bag, put it on the back of your bathroom door. This is the perfect way to store makeup, hair bobbles, accessories and toiletries.

#3
To remove a lipstick stain from clothes, use hairspray. (Trust me, it works).
